The car originally came to the US as a factory show car was comprehensively restored and updated in 2015 by the second owner. Starting with a solid rust free Minor 1000 Traveler Estate Wagon, modern Toyota power was added with a 22R 2.2 liter engine, three speed automatic overdrive transmission (under warranty), Lotus front steering components, power front disc brakes, and 4 airbag adjustable suspension completed the make-over.
The car is easy to drive and can cruise comfortably at 70 mph with no drama. The wagon starts easily, runs cool, it does not leak or smoke, performs very well, and is completely reliable. The interior is well finished with dynomat insulation under the new black carpeting. Seating is available for 4 people with multi-adjustable front seats. The back of the wagon opens easily with two doors giving access to the cargo area. The windows work properly and have no cracks, the window rubber is good and newer, the doors close solidly. The blinker system make use of the very rare semi-fore side markers.
The road manners are excellent with a lot of power for the small, light car and matching powerful power disc brakes. The tires and wheels where also updated with custom made wheels and new radial tires,
