The engine has been modified with a stroker crank shaft that increases displacement to 347 CID and incorporates MSD electronic ignition, roller cam, roller valve train, Holley 670 carburetor, and Edlebrock intake manifold and produces 365 hp according to the dynomometer test run.
The restoration was complete and thorough by evidence of the detailed invoice and included all new suspension (ball joints, A arms, bushings) , brake system including wheel cylinders, master, lines, tie rods, springs, u-joints, heater core, starter, battery tray, shocks, and more and more.
The Mustang was built in San Jose and first sold 10/3/1964 in Salt Lake City at Petty Ford Company, 909 E 21st South, Salt Lake City, Ut according to the original owners manual that is still with the car today.
The fast back runs and drives better than it did when new thanks to the modern mechanical updates including electronic ignition. The steering is very direct and tight thanks to the completely new suspension system, the braking is also excellent with power front disc brakes.
