The documentation of this bug's life starts with the showroom sales brochure, the original owners manual, the owners service records, Blaupunkt radio manual, and Bosch gasoline heater information in addition to a clean California title.
The bug has been kept in its stock original condition including the original working radio, all original glass with the VW etching (except for the windshield), original carpet and headliner.
Within the last year the car received a complete mechanical restoration including these systems: engine rebuild, rebuilt brakes suspension (ball joints, tie rods, 4 shocks, alignment), new "Freeway Flyer" transmission, rebuilt wipers, turn signals, door locks, new tires, and new clutch (receipts available).
