This lovely low mileage Cougar has been carefully maintained from new and is in excellent condition. The original owners manual documents that it was sold February 4, 1967 at Star Lincoln-Mercury, 901 S Brand, Glendale, Ca The Mercury is finished with a respray of the original color light yellow with a nicely contrasting black vinyl top. The interior is also in excellent condition with the European styling features emulating the Jaguars of the period. The Cougar was similar to the Mustang but was given a more luxurious interior, 3 inches longer wheelbase, the distinctive flip up headlights and unique rear tail lights as well. This example retains its original power-train which is in excellent running condition. Additional equipment includes power steering, power brakes, automatic transmission.
Recent maintenance includes:
-Transmission overhaul - February 2020
-Replaced fuel filter. Repaired vacuum lines,
-New tires whitewall radial tires - November 2019
-Resolved dash light issues - rewired burnt wiring, replaced left signal wires and switch - October 2019
