This gorgeous Jaguar was acquired new as a gift to the consigner's wife in 1997 and has been carefully maintained by them ever since. Below is the note the consignor sent me describing the XK8:

"This car has lived most of its life in a garage with occasional road trips or Sunday outings. It is currently fully functional. Aside from normal maintenance, any “known” problems with this model year have been addressed, including replacing major engine, body, suspension, cooling, and AC system plastics with aluminum alloy aftermarket parts. All Jaguar Recall or Service Bulletins have been applied. One of the major issues with cars of this age are the computer electronics, and this has just been addressed with a new ECM with all updates to the last year of manufacture.
This vehicle also sports a modern entertainment system installed in 2010 supporting Bluetooth audio and streaming with Sirius/XM Sat radio (requires a subscription) which is upgradable to Alexa with a new Kenwood head unit (~$200).
While no car of this vintage can be guaranteed to be trouble free, this car should be about as close as you can get, with the TB and ECM still carrying parts Manufacturers warranty."

06/17/2021 – Replace Engine Throttle Body with NEW factory OEM and Engine Control Module (ECM) with rebuilt computer – ($4000) 1-year Warranty on TB, 5-year Warranty on ECM.

This Jaguar comes with extensive service records as noted above, the original window sticker, 3 sets of keys and fobs, and owner's manuals.
