Rare Silver Arrow V12 in new condition 5718 miles from new.

This 2002 Mercedes-Benz SL600 Silver Arrow was first sold and registered in Indiana where it remained with the first owner through 2012. Subsequent registrations are noted in Texas through 2018. In 2023 the consignor acquired the SL with 5k miles shown. Finished in Silver Arrow Metallic (777) over an Exclusive Black Nappa Leather (511) interior, power is provided by a 6.0-liter M120 V12 engine paired with a five-speed automatic transmission. This R129 is 1 of 100 V12-powered Silver Arrow editions produced. Features include an electric folding soft-top, removable matching Panoramic hardtop, Silver Arrow Exclusive wind deflector, Xenon headlights, electrically adjustable and heated seats, and Silver Arrow branded Attaché with books, accessories, and window sticker. Records included in the show recent work performed including a complete top hydraulic rebuild, an oil service, A/C service, and four new tires. This SL600 Silver Arrow now shows just over 5k miles and is being offered by the selling dealer with all factory accessories, two keys, a clean Carfax report, and a clean California title.

The car is finished in Silver Arrow Metallic (777) with a matching removable Panoramic hardtop and folding soft top. Recent service includes a full rebuild of all top hydraulic cylinders and both sunshades in the hardtop are operational. Additional exterior features include Xenon headlamps, Silver Arrow-specific fender badges and an AMG sport styling package which provides sculpted bumpers, side skirts, and a chrome exhaust outlet. Photos of the body are shown in the gallery indicating OEM glass and detailed photos of each top are shown. The Carfax report lists no accidents or damage since new and the seller reports no previous paintwork.

Factory 18” Silver Arrow alloy wheels made by BBS are wrapped in new Continental tires and measure 245/40 in the front and 275/35 in the rear with 2022 date codes. The Silver Arrow editions feature factory-drilled brake rotors and silver painted calipers.

The cabin is trimmed in Exclusive Black (511) Nappa leather across the seats, door cards, head rests, shift knob, and steering wheel. The seats show contrasting leather perforations and leather badging embossed with the Silver Arrow logo. Black Birdseye Maple wood accents adorn the door cards and center console. Additional features include automatic climate control, power adjustable and heated seats, and original silver leather trimmed floor mats. Unique Silver Arrow features include a brushed aluminum instrument cluster, aluminum trim on the shift gate and pedals, and Silver Arrow door sills.

The Nappa leather and Black Birdseye Maple wood steering wheel frames instrumentation including a 160-mph speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer, and gauges for fuel level and coolant temperature. The digital odometer shows 5k miles. The gauges are trimmed with chrome rings and polished aluminum trim exclusive to the Silver Arrow.

The 6.0-liter M120 V12 engine was factory rated at 389 horsepower and 420 lb-ft of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed automatic transmission. The R129 is certainly poised as a proper modern classic especially when you consider it's long tenure in the Mercedes lineup throughout the 90's and early 2000's. Combining the sharp Sacco-designed lines with the “Silver Arrow” nameplate and a limited production run was a definitive recipe for success, but moreover, designers found a way to bring the heritage and look of the 1930's to the R129. The aluminum work surely stood out from the pack considering the parts it replaced were primarily black plastic and the paint, if you've ever seen it in person, is brighter than any other silver Mercedes offered. Essentially, the Silver Arrow found a way to bring the romance of the GT roadster full circle by combining modern functionality and timeless craftsmanship. The low mileage is collector-grade along with the entire car which has been meticulously kept. The extra added benefit of recent maintenance which most importantly includes a rebuild of all top hydraulic cylinders is a premium value add.
