Over the the last 30 months he made this great car even better with over $20,000 worth of restoartion including new tires, water pump, thermostat, engine resealing, brake master cylinder, new wiper motor, power steering pump, hoses, new brakes and pads, new shock absorbers, new ac compressor, and new carburetor. The previous owner who the consignor purchased the Lincoln from owned the car since 1974.

Although it saw little direct competition in the American marketplace, it nearly exclusively competed against the Cadillac Eldorado, which was redesigned for 1971. Lincoln brought back hidden headlights along with a radiator-style grille and a Continental spare tire trunk lid for this generation. Available only as a two-door hardtop coupe, the new Continental was four inches longer than the previous model adding to the visual impression of an extremely long hood. With so little differentiating the years and models of this generation, savvy buyers will want to concentrate heavily on condition and mileage when seeking out these vehicles. Highlighted here is a 1973 Lincoln Continental Mk IV which presents the epitome of 1970s luxury.
