Nut and bolt restoration, 360 fuel injected V8, absolutely stunning!

This 1979 Jeep CJ-7 Golden Eagle was purchased in Arizona in 2020 and relocated to California, where it underwent a multi-year restoration. Highlights include retrofitting a rebuilt fuel-injected 360ci AMC V8 and overhauling the three-speed manual transmission and Dana 20 transfer case along with a repaint in Wimbeldon White, an interior refresh, and the installation of a 2.5″ suspension lift with Fox shocks and Old Man Emu components. A Bestop soft top is fitted along with a Kentrol front bumper, 15″ alloy wheels, 33″ tires, an MSD distributor, Edelbrock valve covers, Hedman headers, and a retro-look digital stereo wired to Kicker speakers.

The factory steel tub was repainted in basecoat/clearcoat Wimbledon White after which a replacement windshield, black fender flares, side mirrors, lighting, decals, and a Kentrol front bumper were installed. The rear bumperettes and rocker moldings were reportedly refreshed, and features include a tan bikini-style Bestop soft top, removable soft half-doors, a roll bar, dual side mirrors, and hood latches. In addition paint-matched steel full doors will be included in the sale.

The 15″ slot-mag-style alloy wheels are mounted with 33×12.50″ Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac tires the seller says have fewer than 400 miles. A matching spare is fitted to a rear swing-away carrier. A 2.5″ suspension lift with Fox Shocks, boomerang shackles, and Old Man Emu “soft ride” components is installed. The truck has power steering, and braking is provided by power-assisted front discs and rear drums.

The interior was painted white during the refurbishment, after which beige Bestop front seats were installed along with a fold-and-tumble rear seat, color-coordinated carpet, a VDP center console, seat belts, and a replacement glove box and sun visors. The truck has a heater along with a Jeep-branded digital stereo wired to front and rear Kicker speakers.

The replacement steering wheel sits on a rebuilt steering column. Dash-mounted instrumentation consists of a 90-mph speedometer, a tachometer, a clock, and gauges for coolant temperature, fuel level, voltage, and oil pressure. The odometer shows 3,700 miles, which is said to represent the mileage since the refurbishment.

Factory-fitted with a 304ci V8, the Jeep received a rebuilt 360ci AMC V8 during the refurbishment, per the seller, along with the following components:
